College of Applied Medical Sciences seeks a qualified candidate to a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. This is a non-tenure track position, with a focus on teaching Graduate level courses on human and clinical Anatomy of medical background, advising and mentoring Graduate students, and develop relationships with colleagues and Universities.
• The candidate will be expected to have the aptitude to develop and teach courses in Human Clinical Anatomy, including but not limited to, foundational and organ systems-based courses.
• The candidate will be expected be proficient in delivering instructional content by various methods, including, large classroom didactic lectures, anatomy lab sessions (cadavers and demos), small group discussions, distance learning courses, medical case-based learning, problem-based learning, and other interactive approaches.
• Participate in the writing of exam questions.
• Direct the day-to-day activity of student Teaching Assistants.
• Act as a faculty advisor to Graduate students.
• Develop and foster relationships with individuals at colleges and universities designed to attract students who are underrepresented in the medical profession.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Human Anatomy from a Collegeof Medicine, or related disciplines.
• Good experience in teaching Human Clinical Anatomy to medical students and Dental students. Rank commensurate with experience.
• Good interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to engage, mentor, and work with diverse student populations.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
